It sounds like it might not be able to find a 3D accelerated graphics mode to use. The graphics window library I'm using (GLFW3) explicitly checks whether 3D acceleration is available and doesn't proceed otherwise.
I can rebuild it with the check disabled though, in which case it will fall back to software OpenGL mode (which is a bit slower, but should be fine for 2D). I'll put out an updated version soon which you can try.
Actually I think I spoke too soon. The issue is that Basic4GL Mobile uses OpenGL 3.3 which as far as I know doesn't have a software mode to fall back to. If your graphics card doesn't support it then you will get this error. You could try updating your graphics drivers, but if that doesn't work you would need a newer graphics card unfortunately.
